LIVE UNITED. Now, more than ever, this is critical. We all have many concerns and questions – our health, our employment, our financial security, and even our education, are all at risk. The rapid changes to our daily lives are evolving in unprecedented ways.
But please know, help and guidance is available. And even in uncertain times, each of us plays a role. We can make a difference, in big and small ways, every day for ourselves and each other, and one day at a time this makes our families, and our community, stronger than before. At United Way, we’ve been helping do just that for 75 years. Right here. Meeting local needs with local resources and partnerships. This is what it means to LIVE UNITED.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
DO YOU NEED HELP?
If you are experiencing physical symptoms for the Coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath, or in severe cases, pneumonia) and/or have known exposure to someone with the virus or recent travel to an area highly affected, please contact your primary care physician, local health department or the PRHS's hotlines – these links are below. For EMERGENCY needs, call 911.
If you need other help and guidance, call 211 24/7, or visit www.211md.org for resources in our area such as food, utility/housing, prescription, and many other services to help you and your family.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, mental health, depression or substance use crisis, call 211 to speak with trained professionals who can connect you to help 24/7. If you think you are in immediate danger, or thinking of harming yourself or someone else, call 911.
Maryland 2-1-1 is a trusted resource provider serving all of Maryland the USA. The Life Crisis Center manages the 211 hotline for the entire Eastern Shore, and is networked with all 211 centers in the state and country.
