Student United Way gives passionate student leaders the opportunity to improve lives and help strengthen communities. We focus on education, financial stability and health, which is the foundation for all of us to live good, healthy lives. Our Salisbury University Student United Way Club is a GREAT way for your SU student to engage not only with United Way but also several amazing local nonprofit organizations. Club members connect with local leaders and learn more about our community through guest speakers during club meetings and various UWLES programs and events.

Volunteerism opportunities can include building ramps with Chesapeake Housing Mission, engaging in community initiatives and event, engaging with the Maryland Folk Festival and more.

Salisbury University Student United Way fosters friendship, collaboration and embodies community spirit.

In the 2022-2023 year: 

25+ active club members plus other partner volunteers put in over 690+ volunteer hours towards more than 34 volunteer and advocacy projects.  

Raised over $3,000 to support local community programs. Impacted more than 1,592 families and individuals.  

Took part in a Ramp Build with Chesapeake Housing Mission, National Folk Festival, Humane Society Dog Walk, Kind SBY local school support and various UWLES volunteer engagements including UWLES Campaign Kickoff and 2022 Holiday Ball, Tri-County Overdoes Awareness Day, Seagull Century, and the Wicomico County Goes Purple Night of Hope event. 

Held Exec and Club meetings in person to include guest speakers from various local non-profit agencies.

 Halloween Zombie 5K and 1 mile dash ---- Salisbury University: Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 1 p.m.
