March 29, 2016 (Cambridge, MD) - Dorchester County Public Schools were recently recognized by United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore for an outstanding campaign totaling $28,843.80. The campaign, comprised of all-employee donations, is the most successful to date for the public school system. The school system’s United Way campaign coordinators, Dwayne Abt and Beth Wilson received the Dorchester Coordinator of the Year Award for their successful efforts at United Way’s 71st Annual Meeting and Community Leaders Celebration.
Dr. Henry Wagner, Superintendent of Dorchester County Public Schools shared, “Our generous and compassionate faculty and staff have a long history of giving back to the local community. It is no surprise that each year, our school system employees continue to answer the prayers of those in need in Dorchester County.”
